The next European Union's Research and Innovation Framework Programme (FP10) will be a key tool to foster collaboration and excellent research.
Discussions about a new programme - which would be due to start in 2028 - have already started and consider how European funding for research, technology and innovation should be shaped to tackle upcoming challenges. Metrology, being a strong cross-cutting discipline, underpins research, technology development and innovation at many levels and is therefore needed in the next European initiative.
